Profile: Mette Nielsen

I am 33 years old, and I have been painting since I was about 16 years old and exhibited in different places around the country. I am a mother of two children and have a boyfriend and I live in Middelfart on Fyn.

I always paint a rustic and abstract style and most often take my starting point in nature and the beautiful colors there, in both nature and the animal world. In my paintings I like to use spatula mass and different methods to highlight the rustic expression.

It is important to me that the painting catches one's attention and that the colors give joy in the room.
