Profile: Kristian Bjerre

My paintings:
When I paint a painting I have to get in and out of the painting process. It takes many hours and a lot of discipline to finish the painting. It is a process of getting into many layers.
It is the different layers that make the painting special. The formulary to make paintings like mine is linked to the techniques of the layers.

My thoughts:
I get my inspiration from my inner world, from all kinds of inner imaginations and color combinations.
When I choose one color this color will choose the next. A development is set.
I like the forms of both wild expressions and structures that make a frame. My forms have to do with the most basic things in life. Both being wild, free and natural, and at the same time feeling the need of security and comfort by the clear structures.
