A small, long-haired dog rests its head on a pale cushion in “With love, yours” by Mantas Naulickas. Its large, dark eyes meet the viewer, while its muzzle nestles into the soft folds of the fabric. The fur is gathered into a little topknot and painted with delicate strokes of gold, creamy white, grey and black.
Light fabrics fill much of the painting, creating a quiet setting around the dog’s face. Cool blue-grey shadows give the cushions depth, while the warm colours of the fur emphasise the portrait’s intimate, affectionate character. The large 150 × 100 cm format transforms this small everyday moment into a striking animal portrait.
The painting captures a peaceful moment with a beloved pet. The attentive gaze and relaxed pose bring a sense of closeness, allowing the small details to tell the story.
